Lockdowns lifted at 3 Orlando schools after bomb threat

ORLANDO, Fla. — Three Orlando schools were on lockdown while police investigated bomb threats at two high schools Wednesday afternoon.

Police and firefighters responded to Boone High School and Jones High School around 1 p.m.

According to police, a male called reporting a bombs at Jones High School and Boone High School.

Both Boone and Jones were placed on lockdown and no one was being allowed to enter or leave the campus while investigators were at the scene.

Police also said Blankner Elementary School was placed on lockdown because of its proximity to Boone High.

Around 1:50 p.m. school officials said nothing was found at Boone High School and the lockdown was lifted for Boone and Blankner. A short time later the lockdown at Jones was lifted.
