BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. - Officials said a home in the Micco area of Brevard County sustained heavy damage in a fire late Saturday night.
Firefighters from Brevard County and Indian River County responded to the fire on Honeysuckle Drive in Micco around 11 p.m.
When fire crews arrived at the home, flames could be seen coming from the attic.
The homeowner told WFTV her family went out to the store and when they returned the house was on fire.
Firefighters were able to knock down the fire, but the structure was heavily damaged. The homeowner received minor burns from the fire, officials said.
The State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
