Brevard County schools create reopening task force, looking for public input on students’ return

Brevard public schools are already preparing for a new school year and have created a reopening task force to get the job done.

“We have a task force of about 15 people who are in charge of every facet of the education in school system everything instruction in the classroom, transportation, food and nutrition,” Assistant Superintendent Matt Reed said.

The school district wants input from the community and created a portal for feedback on a list of priorities.

“It's going to be a big challenge. Will there be some kind of distance learning, trading off on days when students are at school? We don't have those answers yet, but we will be prepared, and we want as much input as we can get.”
