ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. - Deputies said car burglaries are getting out of hand in one section of Orange County.
They said they are hoping their new plan will cut the number of burglaries and also get the perpetrators off the streets.
Officials said the thefts are a crime or opportunity, occurring very late at night.
Officials said some of the thieves are smashing out windows, and others are targeting victims who have left the cars unlocked.
Deputies said the perpetrators are going after cars from Dr. Phillips to Pine Hills.
