Cops: Drunken driver arrested after crashing into home

PALM BAY, Fla. — A home in Palm Bay was damaged when an drunken driver crashed into it early Saturday morning, according to police.

The crash happened around 5 a.m. at a home near the intersection of Blaine Street NE and Cranbrook Avenue NE.

Police said the driver, who was not identified, was drunk at the time of the crash. The driver's red Mustang ended up in the front bedroom of the house, causing moderate damage to the structure.

Officials said no one was injured in the crash.

The homeowner, Billie Rae Taylor, told WFTV she had a feeling this may happen some day because of the curve in the road in front of her home.

"After I built the house... I just said 'OK, that's a disaster waiting to happen,'" Taylor said.

Taylor said she and her husband were sleeping when the crash happened.

Police said the driver is facing a DUI charge.
