MEADOWS OF DAN, Va. — The National Park Service has chosen a Florida company to manage a mill attraction on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia.

Parkway Superintendent Mark H. Woods says in a news release that a 10-year concession contract has been awarded to Cape Canaveral, Fla.-based Cape Leisure Corp. to manage the Mabry Mill Restaurant and Gift Shop near Meadows of Dan in Floyd County. The contract is effective Jan. 1.

Cape Leisure also manages Natural Bridge's attractions for a private owner, along with hospitality, food and retail operations at several state parks in Florida.

Mabry Mill includes a historic gristmill, sawmill and blacksmith shop. The restaurant and gift shop are open from May through October.
