Children found buckled into car seats on sidewalk after vehicle stolen

ORLANDO, Fla. — A woman's car was stolen while her two children were in the back seat on John Young Parkway outside the Ramada Inn, Orlando police said Monday.

Police said they spotted the children abandoned on the sidewalk about a mile away on Gulfstream Road.

The 1-year-old and 3-year-old were still buckled into their car seats.

They were unharmed and reunited with their mother.

Orlando police said they are searching for the crook and the car.

They have not yet released a vehicle description.
