DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — An old church in Volusia County found new life as a swingers club, but it might not be around for long.
The city of Daytona Beach wants to shut the club down.
Most neighbors said they knew nothing of the club on South Ridgewood Avenue but said they did not want it near their homes.

“I didn’t know it was a swingers club,” said Roberto Casanova.
Paperwork filed with the city shows the property is a club called Minglers. While there are no signs advertising the kind of place it is, Minglers has online advertisements.

Its website describes it as a members-only social club.
The city filed the paperwork to bring a temporary injunction against the club, claiming Minglers is operating without a business receipt tax which isn't legal.
Documents obtained by Channel 9 show the city initially denied the club's request for its business receipts tax in April.
The city claims the club would be serving alcohol and allowing nudity in a spot not zoned for it.
But the city said it’s because Minglers is operating without the proper paperwork in place that it wants to shut it down.
