Cocaine, gun, cash found following chase with Brevard officers

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — The Cocoa Police Department, along with the Brevard County Sheriff's Office responded to Vibez Night Club and conducted a foot patrol of the parking lot.

Officers said they discovered a car which had what appeared to be a large amount of cocaine in a shallow, open glove box in plain view.

Officers said they waited until the driver of the car returned.

At some point, the driver tried to get away and almost hit four law enforcement officers and several civilians.

A short pursuit took place, which later ended when the car crashed another vehicle in the intersection at Varr Street and West King Street.

Officers said Terrance Britt, 22, was arrested. Investigators said they searched his car and found a gun, cocaine and marijuana. Officers said they found $1,680 that Britt was carrying.

Britt was transported to the hospital for medical clearance, before he was taken to the Brevard County Jail.
