Cocoa Beach visitors undaunted by weather

COCOA BEACH, Fla. — While it may seem chilly for Floridians, most people Eyewitness News spoke with said a high of 68 degrees sounds pretty good for the end of November.

It's a windy day in Cocoa Beach but with the sun finally out people's spirits are up.

"We love it. We've been talking to people at home and they're like 'We're getting 30s and 40s,' we're like 60s and 70s no big deal," said Melinda Hillen of Missouri.

From Missouri to Tehachapi, Calif., people said even cool weather in Florida beats the temps back home.

"At home it's in the 20s. It's all relative," Valerie Turner of Tehachapi said.

Vacationers said Wednesday weather is the best so far.

They said they aren't discouraged by the forecast that calls for a low in the 40s in Cocoa Beach Wednesday.

"Freezing rain, sleet in Virgina, beats the heck out of that," Rich Hicks of Virginia said.

"Finally the sunshine's out, I can't get a tan, but at least it's not freezing and rainy," Shan Hicks of Virginia said.

The weather is just one more thing to be thankful for this weekend.
