Composite sketch of central Fla. serial robber released

CENTRAL FLORIDA — A composite sketch was released of a serial robber who has hit businesses across central Florida, detectives said Monday.

The robberies were committed at a Cumberland Farms on Bumby Avenue, a CVS on E. Colonial Drive, both in Orlando, a Walgreens in Altamonte Springs and a Maitland 7-Eleven on N. Lake Destiny Road, authorities said.

Detectives said they believe that it was the same armed man in all four cases, and may be responsible for other armed robberies in the central Florida area.

In each case, detectives said the man acts as though he is going to pay for an item, but instead, points a handgun and demands cash.

"Same description, same body stature, so, I'm going to say, yes, we possibly could be looking at the same individual," said Robert Pelton of the Altamonte Springs Police Department.

Anyone with information as to the identity of this suspect is asked to please call Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS.
