Cops: Arrested man said he downloaded child porn out of curiosity

POINCIANA, Fla. — Osceola County Sheriff's detectives arrested Elxio Rafael Colon and charged him with 10 counts of possession of child pornography Monday, authorities said.

The investigation began in August of last year when detectives said they received information of possible illegal activity at an IP address on the CenturyLink network.

After further investigation, detectives said they discovered Colon, 40, used the IP address to download pornographic movies, involving children.

Detectives said they obtained a search warrant for his home on Dartmouth Court in Poinciana. Multiple computers and electronic storage devices were taken into evidence, detectives said.

Authorities said Colon was brought in for questioning and told detectives he downloaded the videos out of curiosity, but he knew they were illegal.

According to Colon, he does not know any of the children depicted in the videos. Based on his statements and the evidence, Colon was arrested and booked into the Osceola County Jail on $150,000 bail.
