SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. - A Seminole County driver will spend Labor Day behind bars for
assaulting a deputy during a traffic stop and then making a run for it, authorities said.
The deputy had Poindexter's license and tag number, authorities said.
Investigators said Poindexter was pulled over in a McDonald's parking lot on Semoran Boulevard on suspicion of DUI.
The deputy said he gave Poindexter a field sobriety test, which he failed, and that is when he assaulted the deputy.

He's being held without bond.
