• Cops: Man with loaded gun at airport says he was trying to protect self from poisonous snakes


    OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. - An Osceola County man is facing charges after police said they caught him at Orlando International Airport with a loaded gun.

    Edward Calderon was arrested on Sunday after he was caught at a security checkpoint on his way to Atlanta.

    According to police, he told officers he was just trying to protect himself from poisonous snakes.

    He told officers he had the gun for a hunting trip, but he forgot it was in his backpack, according to police.
