VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. - A Volusia County man threatened his mother's boyfriend with a sword when an argument got out of control because of a missing can of shrimp, authorities said.

Deputies said they arrested Jayson Laughman, 34, on charges of aggravated assault.

Officers said Laughman, who is diabetic, blamed his blood-sugar level for destroying a bedroom, throwing steak knives at his mother's boyfriend and threatening him with the sword.

Investigators said no one was injured.
