Couple arrested after 4 stabbed outside Ocoee bar

OCOEE, Fla. — Four people were stabbed early Sunday in a parking lot outside an Ocoee bar as they tried to stop a couple from fighting, the Ocoee Police Department said.

A man punched his girlfriend shortly before 2:30 a.m. outside Frank’s Place near North Clarke East Silver Star roads, Ocoee police Sgt. Mark Bousquet said.

When onlookers tried to intervene, both the man and the woman pulled out knives, Bousquet said.

Four people were stabbed in the incident.

Two people were brought to Orlando Regional Medical Center, and the other two were brought to Ocoee’s Health Central Hospital.

Nicholas Schonwit, 26, was charged with domestic battery.

Tiffany Pompnio, 25, was charged with aggravated battery.

Both were booked into the Orange County Jail.

Police said each faces more charges.

The incident remains under investigation.
