POLK COUNTY, Fla.,None — A Lakeland couple is facing child abuse charges for the type of punishment they allegedly used on a 13-year-old boy.
Deputies said Albert and Nancy Cusson forced the boy to kneel on the bathroom floor with his hands behind his back for nine hours a day, for 10 days straight.
If he moved, officials said he was beaten with a stick.
The couple told the boy it was his punishment for misbehaving. He was taken to a nearby hospital for his injuries.
