Crews contain brush fire in Daytona Beach

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. —

Firefighters have fully contained a brush fire near LPGA Boulevard in Daytona Beach.

The fire broke out around 1 p.m. Sunday just west of LPGA Boulevard near the Bayberry Lakes neighborhood.

The fire was estimated to be around 30 acres. There were no homes in danger and no roads were closed.

As of 5 p.m. Sunday, crews were cleaning up and monitoring the area for flare ups. Florida forestry crews assisted Daytona Beach firefighters.

The cause of the brush fire is under investigation.
