Daytona Beach man accused of killing girlfriend found dead in in Key West

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — The Daytona Beach man accused of killing his girlfriend, and then taking her car was found dead in Key West.

Police said a woman parking her car in Key West spotted a body on the ground between two buildings on Sunday.

Daytona Beach Police Chief Mike Chitwood says 56-year-old Tom Tomkiewicz died of an apparent drug overdose.

They'd been searching for him since Friday as a suspect in the death of his 56-year-old live-in girlfriend Ann Marie Antonaccio.

Last Thursday, Daytona Beach police found Antonaccio inside her home with her throat slit.

Key West police said they're still looking for the vehicle.
