Deputies: 10 lbs. of marijuana found in Dunnellon man's car


DUNNELLON, Fla. - A Dunnellon man was arrested after deputies say they found 10 pounds of hydroponic marijuana in his car.

Deputies said Justin Valentine, 46, was driving recklessly on East Highway 40 on Wednesday when he crossed the center line and hit a curb.

Officers pulled him over and said they could smell alcohol on his breath and marijuana coming from the car.

They arrested Valentines after he failed a sobriety test.

When officers searched Valentine’s trunk they said they found a black duffle bag with 18, one gallson size freezer bags containing 10 pounds of the drug.

The marijuana was worth an estimated street value of $35,000 to $50,000.

Valentine is being held in jail without bond.
