Deputies: Boy, 14, believed to be armed disappears from Osceola County neighborhood

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — A 14-year-old boy who is believed to be armed disappeared Tuesday from a neighborhood near Kissimmee, the Osceola County Sheriff's Office said.

Joseph Arthur Rossi Jr. was last seen on Marina Lake Drive, Osceola County Capt. Jacob Ruiz said.

The boy is described as 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing 140 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes. He was wearing black shorts, a white T-shirt and gray sandals.

"Joseph could be in possession of a firearm and ammunition," Ruiz said. "If you see Joseph, please call law enforcement immediately and do not approach him, as he is presumed to be armed."

Deputies said there is an active juvenile pickup order for grand theft of firearms, and a $1,000 reward for information.
