Deputies: Bullet lodged in man's testicles after wife shoots him

MELBOURNE, Fla. — Brevard County deputies arrested a 60-year-old woman on Wednesday accused of shooting her husband in their Melbourne home.

Deputies said Victoria Reid knowingly shot her husband of 16 years during a domestic argument about an affair while in their home on Timacuan Drive.

Reid told her husband she was going to maim him to give him post-traumatic stress disorder, like she had, according to the arrest report. Deputies said Reid taunted her husband verbally by saying she would kill him, shoot him in the face, or shoot him in the chest.

Reid shot her husband in the left leg, and the bullet traveled up his thigh and lodged inside his testicles, according to authorities.

Reid faces several charges, including aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault.
