VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — Volusia County deputies said they cracked down on crime during "Operation Summer Rain" on Friday.
Six people were arrested and 77 traffic citations were issued during the operation, which aimed to crack down on crime in Deltona.
Of those arrested were a man and a woman, identified as Jesse Weed and Tiffany McAdams. The couple was found using drugs in a vacant Deltona home, deputies said.
Deputies targeted areas that are hot spots for crime and said they want to crack down on burglaries, robberies, drug activity and dangerous driving.
Officials said more operations are planned in the future in Volusia County.
