Deputies: Ex-Seahawks quarterback points gun at woman in Osceola County

Former Seattle Seahawks quarterback Tarvaris Jackson was arrested early Friday after he allegedly pulled a gun on a woman at a vacation home near Celebration, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said.

The 33-year-old free agent, an unidentified woman and three children were vacationing from Alabama with friends when the couple got into an argument in one of the villas at the Regal Oaks resort, deputies said.

According to an arrest report, Jackson returned to his vacation rental after drinking with friends at one of the resort’s other villas when he started shouting at the woman, telling her he was going to pack his belongings and leave.

The woman told deputies she armed herself with a kitchen knife because Jackson sometimes becomes violent when he’s drunk.

That’s when Jackson retrieved his handgun from a backpack atop a refrigerator, loaded it, pointed it at the woman and threatened to kill her, the report states.

The woman told deputies she ran upstairs and grabbed a clothing iron as protection.

Jackson denied pulling out the weapon from his bag, but he did tell investigators he threatened to shoot her.

According to Jackson, when he threatened the woman, she told him, “You better be accurate, because you ain’t accurate on the field.”

One of Jackson's friends came to the villa and restrained the quarterback as he threatened her.

Three children were asleep in the home during the incident.

Before joining the Seahawks, Jackson played for the Minnesota Vikings.

Jackson was jailed on an aggravated assault charge. He was released from the Osceola County Jail Friday evening after posting bail.
