Love triangle may have led to woman's shooting outside Orlando gas station

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A love triangle may have led to a woman's shooting in Orange County, investigators said.

Deputies said they are searching for another woman who opened fire outside of a Citgo gas station on Pine Hills Road and Silverstar Road, and then ran away.

WFTV spoke with a watch commander Tuesday morning who said authorities have already located the getaway car.

Sam Patel said he was working Monday night when the sound of gunshots caught his attention.

"The first thing, it was like fireworks or something. It was kind of bad. It happened again, so we though somebody got shot. Everybody started running," said Patel.

Patel said a woman ran into the convenience store, panicked and injured.

"She was like, 'Help me, help me! I just got shot! Somebody help me!' She was screaming, she was screaming," said Patel.

Patel said he called 911, and when deputies arrived, they found the woman shot several times in the chest and stomach.

Investigators said they believe the shooting was over a man, and the woman who shot the victim was in the middle of an argument about a love triangle when the violence erupted.

Detectives said the shooter took off in a black Chevrolet Impala.

There are surveillance cameras at the store, but investigators said they didn't capture any of the crime as it happened.

The woman was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, officers said.

Her identity was not released.
