Deputies investigate suspicious incident involving child

VIERA, Fla. — Brevard County deputies said a boy may have been forced into a vehicle Wednesday night near Murrell Road and Country Club Drive in Viera.

A 12-year-old boy reported the incident.

He told deputies he saw a white four-door car pull up alongside a boy who looked to be about 7 years old.

Reports stated the 12-year-old saw a man get out of the car, grab the boy around the waist, and force him into the back seat.

The man may have gotten into the passenger’s seat of the car, according to reports.

The boy was described as having sandy brown hair and was wearing a green shirt and blue shorts.

Deputies have not received any reports in reference to a missing child, but they still want anyone with information about the incident to call the sheriff’s office.
