Deputies investigate whether 2 shootings within hours of each other are related

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Orange County deputies are working to figure out if two shootings, including one that left a man in critical condition, are connected.

Deputies said a gunman shot a man during an attempted robbery just after 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Investigators said three men gave the victim a ride to Westmonte Drive and South Hiawassee Road, and then tried to rob him.

That's when the men shot the victim and drove away.

The victim is expected to recover.

A few hours later, deputies said they found a man shot multiple times on Hope Street about two miles away from the attempted robbery scene.

A K-9 deputy tracked down the culprit and his car about three miles away, deputies said.

Dorall Marshall, 24, has been arrested and charged with attempted murder.

The victim, Brandon Dupree, 21, is being treated at Orlando Regional Medical Center.
