THE VILLAGES, Fla. — Sumter County deputies arrested a lawn-maintenance worker for allegedly stealing from a home in The Villages.
Deputies said Matthew Kalarovich, 25, stole from a home on Crawford Court on Tuesday.
According to deputies, Kalarovich got in through an unlocked door and stole around $5,000 worth of cash and jewelry.
Investigators said they tracked some of the stolen jewelry to a secondhand gold dealer in Leesburg.
Some of the items were recovered.
Kalarovich is charged with burglary and grand theft.
