Deputies: Deltona teen has contacted family

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla — The Volusia County Sheriff's Office says a missing Deltona teenager has contacted a relative.

Sharoyal Duff, 16, called a relative Saturday afternoon to advise she was okay, she would be home soon but did not tell the relative where she was, according to authorities.

Deputies began looking for Duff after her family became concerned when she did return home Friday night.

Deputies say Duff left her home on Elkcam Boulevard around 11:00 a.m. Friday and the family told the sheriff’s office Sharoyal had been showing signs of depression recently.
