MARION COUNTY, Fla. - A man has been arrested and charged with video voyeurism after Marion County Sheriff's investigators said he took photos of a 10-year-old boy at a urinal in a department store.
According to investigators, a witness told them that he saw Maximo Deherrera, 63, slide his cellphone camera down the side of a urinal divider and take a picture of the young boy who was using the urinal next to him.
The witness told investigators that he saw the flash go off on Deherrera's phone and immediately knew what the man was doing.
According to investigators, the witness confronted Deherrera, who immediately began deleting photos from the phone.
The witness told store employees about the incident and then followed Deherrera from the building.
Investigators said they reviewed video surveillance tape from the store which showed Deherrera hanging around the toy section of the story and then following the 10-year-old into the restroom.
Deherrera is being held in the Marion County Jail on a $20,000 bond.
