Deputies: Orange Co. man set up fake chiropractic clinic, scammed patients

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — An Orange County man is accused of using a real chiropractor's name to set up a fake clinic and scam patients.

Elize Verty turned himself in to the Orange County jail.

He was busted after the real chiropractor went to law enforcement.

Verty is accused of stealing tens of thousands of dollars while operating an unlicensed clinic, where workers treated real patients.

He faces a list of charges, including money laundering, fraud and grand theft.
