ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. - Deputies in Orange County said they are searching for at least one assailant in connection to a shooting at an apartment complex that left one person in critical condition.
The shooting happened in the parking lot at the Millennium Palms apartment complex along Texas Avenue around 9 p.m.
A sheriff's office spokesperson told WFTV's Ryan Hughes that the person who was shot was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center.
Deputies said they still don't know what led to the shooting.
"The only information we have right now is several residents heard multiple gunshots. That's what got us here. So far we've been trying to see if we can find any eyewitnesses and that's what we're in the process of right now," said Lt. Paul Hopkins, of the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
The victim's name has not been released. Deputies said the victim has been taken in to surgery.
