OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. - A suspected serial thief is behind bars Thursday night in Osceola County.

Investigators said he walked into hotels and stole luggage from more than a dozen victims.

Osceola County sheriff's investigators said they have a suspected serial luggage thief behind bars Thursday night.

According to reports, Daniel Foote walked into as many as 14 hotel rooms on International Drive and stole luggage.

"That's real shocking that that can happen," said hotel guest Allen Murphy.

Undercover investigators said they busted Foote walking out of the Metropolitan Hotel on International Drive with at least four suitcases that didn't belong to him.

Reports show that the guests in one room flagged deputies down after they said Foote pried their door open.

WFTV reporter Renee Stoll found it was easy to walk into the hotel unnoticed. She said it took at least 10 minutes for anyone to notice her and her photographer in the hotel, even though they saw staff in the hallway.

"Where was the hotel manager, where's the room attendants, where's security, isn't there someone that's supposed to be patrolling and know what's going on," said hotel guest Sotoria Williams.

Some guests said they wonder if there aren't others just like Foote doing the same thing.

Investigators said they are working on linking Foote to over a dozen other thefts.

He's in jail on $5,100 bond.
