Couple's deaths ruled homicide after bodies found in Osceola home, deputies say

KISSIMMEE, Fla. — A couple's deaths were ruled homicides after their bodies were found in a home just south of Kissimmee Saturday night, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies arrived shortly after 7 p.m. Sunday at the home on Meadow Oak Circle and Pleasant Hill Road after a relative requested a well-being check.

Investigators said the deaths are being investigated as a double homicide, but they didn't specify how the man and woman were killed or if they knew one another.

"Our detectives are working 24/7 to follow leads and get information," Osceola County Maj. Jacob Ruiz said. "As soon as we have any suspect information or additional information, we'll be sharing that with the community and the public to help us out."

Neither the names of the victims nor the circumstances surrounding their deaths have been released. Deputies said the couple are connected to the home, but wouldn't say if they had lived there.

"The weeds started growing, and that's when we noticed something was wrong, because their home was always impeccable," resident Josuv Carro said.

Deputies said the deaths appear to be an isolated incident and that there is no public threat.

The investigation is ongoing.
