Deputy injured after suspect in stolen pickup truck crashes into cruiser, sheriff's office says

An Orange County deputy was injured Wednesday after a man crashed into the deputy's cruiser, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office. 
It happened on South Goldenrod Road near Pershing Avenue.
Deputies said the deputy was trying to pull over the suspect, who they said was driving a stolen pickup truck. 
The man rammed into the deputy's vehicle, then crashed into a concrete pole before he hopped out of the truck and ran. 
He was caught shortly after the crash, deputies said. 
The deputy, who was not identified, was taken to Winter Park Hospital for examination. 
The suspect, who also has not been identified, is facing charges of aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer.
