BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. - A disabled man who got on a bus in Brevard County was supposed to be dropped off in Rockledge.

Instead, the driver forgot all about the man, who couldn't speak.

Video from inside the Space Coast Area Transit bus shows the man in the third row stranded on the bus for almost 20 minutes before someone found him.

The special needs passenger was riding to the Brevard Achievement Center, a place providing services for the disabled.

SCAT says the driver didn't let him off at his stop and drove back to the main terminal.

When the bus pulled up and stopped, the driver was at the end of her route. The video shows she didn't even look back to see if anyone was on the bus before she hopped off for her next assignment.

The special needs passenger, who couldn't speak, was on the bus for 18 minutes before another driver found him.

"Probably shocked out of his mind, scared, frightened. I know I would be," bus passenger Melissa Gilbert said.

SCAT said it has apologized and has taken steps to make sure checks are done and the driver has been suspended.

The president of Bridges says it works well with SCAT but the incident is unacceptable.

The driver is getting paid while on suspension.

She has a hearing tomorrow morning to determine if she'll face any discipline.
