Epcot employee says coworker forced her into closet, sexually assaulted her

ORLANDO, Fla. — A Disney employee was arrested on charges of sexual battery and kidnapping after a coworker told authorities that the man forced her into a custodial closet property and sexually battered her.

The alleged victim, who works at Epcot, told investigators she resisted and tried to get away from Gideon Hunte, 49, who works as a custodian.

Authorities said the incident happened during park hours on Thursday. The woman believes she was released because she wouldn't stop yelling and resisting.

The woman was frantically crying as she ran to her supervisor, who then called authorities.

Orange County investigators questioned Hunte and arrested him. He's being held in the Orange County Jail without bond.

The woman told detectives she'd seen Hunte at work before but never had any sort of relationship with him.

Disney released a statement saying, "This is a law enforcement matter. He has been placed on unpaid leave pending the outcome of the charges. We have zero tolerance for this type of alleged behavior."

In court on Friday, Hunte appeared to shake his head as a judge listed the charges against him.
