Donald Trump talks jobs at Kissimmee rally

KISSIMMEE, Fla. — Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump fired up thousands of supporters in Osceola County on Thursday as he laid out his economic plan.

Trump spoke at the Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimmee’s Osceola Heritage Park.

It’s his second appearance in the region this month. Trump spoke to supporters in Daytona Beach last week,

Elizabeth Cuevas-Neunder was one of the thousands who came to support Trump.

“I adore Trump. I adore his mentality,” she said.

Cuevas-Neunder did have some advice for Trump’s camp on the ground in Florida.

“I believe he doesn’t believe he has the right people in the state of Florida in his staff,” Cuevas-Neunder said.

Trump opened the rally by urging supporters to vote in the must-win state of Florida.

He then promised voters what he’ll do in return.

“We are going to bring our jobs back to Florida. We are going to bring our jobs back to our country,” said Trump to the roaring crowd.

There are 87,000 small businesses in Central Florida, according to the Florida Small Business Development Center.

But Trump did not offer many specifics Thursday night on how he’ll increase that number.

Police escorted anti-Trump protesters out of the rally at least four times.

The candidate continued on, and talked about the Pulse terror attack in relation to national security.

“Orlando knows something about problems because you’ve suffered greatly,” he said.

He discussed Second Amendment rights and alluded that the shooter, Omar Mateen, may have never gone into the nightclub if the club goers were armed.

“If we had bullets going the other direction, No. 1, they probably would not have come in,” Trump said.

Throughout his speech, Trump used graphs and pictures meant to portray what he said was a bad state of affairs in the American economy.
