ORLANDO, Fla. — Teams of Orlando police and firefighters paired with at-risk youth raced boats on Lake Fairview Saturday.
The Dueling Dragons of Orlando hosted its “Family Day” at Lake Fairview Park, where children from the Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida were paired with first responders to race dragon boats.
The “Firefighters & Kids” team raced the “Cops & Kids” team Saturday morning.
This is the first time the two local teams have faced off.
There were six total races, with each team winning a few.
Dueling Dragons of Orlando has been pairing up boat teams for seven seasons now, competing in regional and national challenges.
