PLANT CITY, Fla. - A good Samaritan in Plant City has a lot of people taking about her random act of kindness.
The woman paid for the meals of 180 people at Buddy Freddy's restaurant on Sunday.
Patrons said when they asked for their bill the manager told them an elderly woman had already picked up the tabs of everyone eating inside.
The total cost of all the meals was more than $2,000.
The woman also gave each of the servers a $50 tip.
"I think everyone was excited because in these hard days you don't hear very much of that," said a restaurant patron.
Initially, many people thought the good Samaritan was the recent $590 million Powerball winner from Zephyrhills.
But when the restaurant manager Googled the winner's image, they realized it was not her.
