FAMU drum major recalls moments before Robert Champion's death

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A Florida A&M University drum major who witnessed the hazing ritual that killed Robert Champion is speaking out about the case.

Keon Hollis told ESPN's "Outside the Lines" that he and Champion boarded the bus outside the Rosen Plaza Hotel in November to go through the ritual called ‘Crossing Bus C.’

They were forced to walk from the front of the bus to the back while band members hit them.

Hollis told ESPN he was exhausted from his own beating and then he watched Champion go through the gauntlet of punches and kicks.

Soon after, Champion was rushed to the hospital, where he died.

No arrests have been made in connection with Champion's death.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office is still investigating.
