West Orange County road reopens after fatal motorcycle accident

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Stoneybrook West Parkway has been reopened following a fatal motorcycle accident Monday afternoon

A motorcycle slammed into the back of a stopped box truck killing the rider, according to law enforcement officials.

Officials said the truck broke down Stoneybrook West Parkway at the ramp to State Road 429 north.

According to officials, as the driver was in the process of placing hazard cones around his truck a motorcycle hit the back of the truck.

The truck driver wasn't injured in the incident.

Police closed Stonebrook West Parkway east of Winter Garden Vineland Road for around three hours while they investigated the accident.

Police have not released the name of the victim in the crash.
