SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. - Troopers are investigating after a motorcyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash on I-4 in Lake Mary early Sunday morning.

FHP shut down the westbound lanes I-4 following the crash. The highway remained closed for several hours, but it has since reopened.

According to troopers, the motorcyclist was traveling west on I-4 when another vehicle, a 1998 Saturn, lost control and swerved into his lane. The motorcyclist was thrown off his bike and onto the roadway, troopers said. The driver of the Saturn left the scene and the vehicle was found abandoned not far from the crash, troopers said.

FHP said traffic began to slow for the motorcyclist, who was still on the ground, when he was run over by another driver. That driver remained at the scene and waited for law enforcement to arrive.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers have identified him as Keenan Huff, 42, of Brightwood, Virginia. Huff was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to troopers.

Investigators are looking for the registered owner of the 1998 Saturn, Victor Eusebio Salinas of Seffner, Florida.

In a separate crash, a driver struck a Lake Mary police officer's patrol car after he parked it on I-4 to block traffic at the crash scene. The officer was not injured and the driver was ticketed for careless driving.

FHP said the investigation remains ongoing and charges are pending.
