Cocoa motorcyclist, 59, dies in crash on I-95 in Titusville

TITUSVILLE, Fla. — A 59-year-old Cocoa man died Sunday morning in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 95 in Titusville, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The man, who wasn't publicly identified, lost control of a 2014 Yamaha motorcycle and struck a guardrail at 9:15 a.m. on the northbound exit ramp to Garden Street, said FHP Sgt. Kim Montes.

The man, who wasn't wearing a helmet, was thrown from the motorcycle and died at the scene, Montes said.

The investigation blocked northbound lanes for several hours, but the road reopened shortly after noon.
