FHP closing Daytona streets following race postponement

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.,None — Florida Highway Patrol troopers say that all westbound traffic from Clyde Morris Blvd. and Williamson Blvd. on S.R. 400 (Beville Road) in Daytona Beach is being directed onto southbound I-95.

The ramp from S.R. 400 is closed and will continue to be opened and closed as troopers attempt to move Daytona 500 fans from the Daytona area.

FHP troopers advise that the quickest route to Orlando from the Daytona area is southbound I-95 to westbound S.R. 46, S.R. 50 or S.R. 528.

Troopers say that travel times on westbound I-4 will be congested with travel times to Orlando reaching three hours or more.
