FHP investigates fatal Orlando motorcycle crash

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol said it is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash.

Troopers arrived at the scene on Orange Avenue, near Perkins Road in Orlando, just before midnight Monday.

FHP said the motorcyclist clipped a car going in the other direction, lost control and was thrown from the bike.

The motorcycle came to rest several hundred feet away, against a fence.

The motorcyclist's name was not released.
