A man jumped or fell to his death from an Interstate 95 overpass Thursday morning, according to Florida Highway Patrol troopers.
According to troopers, the driver of a Honda was traveling southbound on I-95 when his car hit the back of a pickup truck traveling in the same direction.
Troopers said that after the two vehicles stopped
When an FHP trooper arrived at the scene, the trooper began searching for the man and found him on the Dunn Avenue overpass.
According to troopers, the man, who is from Port Orange, ran toward the edge of the overpass. The trooper grabbed the man's jacket, which came off. The man then jumped or fell from the overpass.
The man fell onto the grass shoulder of I-95 and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to troopers.
Trooper said the case remains under investigation.
They have not released the identity of the man who died pending notification of next of kin.
