• Troopers ID driver killed in fiery Orange County crash


    ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. - One person was killed when a vehicle crashed and caught fire on Turkey Lake Road in Orange County Sunday evening.

    On Monday Florida Highway Patrol troopers identifed the dead man as Patrick Tahaney, 24, of Windermere.

    Emergency crews responded to the crash on Turkey Lake Road at Nina Rose Drive shortly after 6 p.m.

    According to troopers, Tahaney was driving a Dodge Charger north on Turkey Lake Road when he apparently lost control, left the roadway and traveled through several yards before striking a fence and two trees.

    Two male passengers in Tahaney's car were injured in the accident.  Chad Siplin, 25, of Orlando, was hospitalized with serious injuries and Ryan Siefker, 22, of Orlando,suffered minor injuries, according to troopers.
