Fire destroys Ormond Beach home worth 300K

ORMOND BEACH, Fla. — An early-morning fire tore through a home on North Beach Street in Ormond Beach Sunday.

The Ormond Beach Fire Department, along with other fire agencies, were called to the home around 3 a.m.

Officials said the fire started in the basement of the home, which was constructed in 1928.

The three people inside were evacuated and were not hurt.

The cause of the fire is still not known and the state fire marshall is investigating.

The home, which was valued at $300,000, is considered a total loss.
