Firefighters battle 20-acre brush fire near Geneva

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — The Seminole County Fire Department is battling a brush fire in a heavily-wooded area near Geneva, firefighters said.

Firefighters said homes are not in danger as the reportedly 20-acre brush fire moves west toward Lake Jesup.

The Florida Forest Service responded to the blaze.

The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office is using their helicopter to dump water on the brush fire.
